The arts converge on a rainy day but it doesn't put a damper on a tradition
For the 27th year the Fall Diddley Art Show raises funds for mental health research in McHenry County.
More than 300 vendors show up selling all homemade paintings and folk art pieces. Vendors say they don't mind the rain, it weeds out the lookers from the buyers.
"I noticed a lot of bears and packers stuff. It's always a rivalry you know. I noticed a lot of very fine, homemade goods. It's a great show, great products actually," said Russel Fozcz, McHenry Co. Mental Health Research League President.
There are 19 different agencies in McHenry County that deal with mental health. They are the beneficiaries of this weekend's art sale.
