Kids book author Michael Dahl shares and signs his magic mystery story just in time for the spookiest season of the year.
Hocus Pocus Hotel is a fast paced adventure sharing how a school bully and a school brain work together, solving the mysteries of a magic hotel.
Dahl was inspired to author the book by his childhood. He was always fascinated with magicians, even working as a magician's assistant as a teen.
Friends of mine used to live in a very spooky hotel in Minneapolis. It was something out of Stephen King. And I always thought that would make a great location for a story. So I've always just kept that in the back of my head. I figure, a lot of people spend time in hotels, and hotels can be scary," said Dahl.
Dahl says he'd like to stretch the book out into a series of maybe three or four more books.
