UPDATED: Rockford man faces life threatening injuries after west side shooting

UPDATE:
The victim is now listed in stable condition at an area hospital. He was shot multiple times in the torso.

PREVIOUSLY:
Rockford Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

It happened just before 4AM in the 200 block of Carbaugh Avenue on the city's West Side.

Officers found the crime scene, but the victim was already taken to the hospital by a passerby.

The victim is a 30 year old Rockford man. Police say his injuries may be life threatening.
