As bars and restaurants across Illinois are turning on their video gaming machines, a Rockford bar is joining their ranks.
Video gaming terminals will go live at Big Al's Bar on Tuesday afternoon. The machines have been approved by the Illinois Gaming Board and, in a statement, bar management said it was "excited to be part of this new trend in entertainment."
Video gambling was approved in Illinois is 2009 in an effort to contribute to a $31 billion program to fix schools, roads, and other transportation projects.
