The Hononegah Community High School District is teaming up with Rosecrance and the Rockton and Roscoe Police Departments to host a community forum on designer drugs.
Designer drugs have been increasing in popularity over the years and the forum will give the history of the designer drug movement and steps police are taking to combat it.
Mike Hood and Cara Smith from the Office of the Illinois Attorney general will be featured speakers. Hood and Smith have been focusing on the designer drug movement for the past year.
A question and answer session will follow the forum, which will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on October 10 in the Hononegah Performing Arts Center.
Students, parents, and community members are all invited to attend.
