Law enforcement serving burgers to benefit Special Olympics

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Rockford area law enforcement and Red Robin are teaming up to give people a chance to grab a meal and raise money for a great cause.

The Tip-A-Cop event will hit Red Robins across the state, including the Rockford location. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., members of local law enforcement will be on hand to collect donations from Red Robin guests.

All donations from the Law Enforcement Torch Run event will benefit Special Olympics Illinois, a non-profit organization that provides training and competition for over 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities. Over 11,000 Young Athletes between the ages of two and seven, with and without intellectual disabilities, also benefit.
