Lutheran Wins Girls Golf Sectional Title

Rockford Lutheran's girls golf team won the 1-A Genoa-Kingston Sectional Monday at the Oak Club of Genoa. The Lady Crusaders shot a 384, beating Somonauk by 15 strokes. Prophetstown finished 3rd.

 Bailey Peck led the way for Lutheran, firing an 83. Erin Galen shot a 94 and Evelyn Behling stepped up big, shooting a 97. The win sends Lutheran to the state finals this weekend.

 Rockford Christian's Abby Sullivan is the only golfer on her team. She qualified for state individually, shooting a 90.
