A 39-year-old Anna, Illinois woman faces first-degree murder charges after police say she suffocated her 11-month-old daughter.
A criminal complaint alleges Tiffin knowingly placed her hand over the mouth and nose of her daughter, Cassandra Tiffin, on September 16, causing the infant to die.
Tiffin was arrested Thursday, October 4.
