Faurecia collects 2,819 lbs. of food

A Belvidere factory raises enough food to feed a person for a year and a half.

Faurecia employees collected more than 2,800 pounds in their September food drive. All of which was donated to the Belvidere/Boone County Food Pantry. They also won some money for being so successful.

"Because we met out goal and actually exceeded it, the ending percentage was 427%, we won another $500 prize that will later be presented to the Belvidere-Boone County food pantry," said Abbey Goodnight, FCS Administrator.

Faurecia holds the September food drive at all of its North America locations. The Belvidere factory opened earlier this year, so this was their first time participating.
