Boylan, Somonauk Win Girls Golf Regionals

Melissa VanSistine shot a 78 to lead Boylan to a Regional championship, helping the Titans advance to Sectionals. VanSistine won the individual medalist category with the lowest score of the day.

Huntley took 2nd in the 2-A Freeport Regional at Park Hills behind Boylan. Hononegah took 3rd, after Huntley won a tie-breaker with the Indians. The top three teams advance to Sectionals.

In the 1-A Stillman Valley Regional, Somonauk used a dominant performance from Jessica Schultz to win the Regional title. Schultz finished the day at the top of the leaderboard, firing a 68.

Rockford Lutheran took 2nd behind Somonauk behind a strong effort from Bailey Peck. Byron finished 3rd to advance to Sectionals as well.
