Rockford Area Arts Council hosts annual fundraiser - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

Artists and supporters gathered at Cliffbreaker's on Wednesday to celebrate the Rockford Area Arts Council's 2012 State of the Arts Awards.
The fundraiser celebrated arts achievements over the last year. The Mayor's Arts Awards were also handed out. Awards were given for Individual Artist, the Lawrence E. Gloyd Community Impact, and Creative Cultural Event.
The event also gathered change to support the RAAC's Change Campaign which helps the organization support individual artists, arts organizations, and non-profits that hope to bring the arts to people who don't usually have access to them.
If you didn't make it to the event on Wednesday, you can donate your change at the RAAC office, located at 713 East State Street in Rockford, between 8 a.m. and noon Monday through Thursday throughout October.
