Woman fights off man trying to steal her purse - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

A man trying to steal a purse from a women outside a Walgreens in Rockford gets more than he bargained for.
During the robbery attempt outside the Walgreens at 1602 Kishwaukee around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, the woman fought back as the man tried to steal her purse. She had help from her 14-year-old granddaughter who pushed the suspect to the ground after he dragged the woman and got her purse. Two men who were in the parking lot also stepped in to help and the suspect ran away without the purse.
The victim suffered scrapes to her knees and elbows.
The suspect, Juan Eusebio, of Rockford, was later arrested and identified by the victim and witnesses. He's charged with Strong Arm Robbery, Battery, and Criminal Damage to Property.
