ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Rockford police officers bust three people in four hours for illegal use of weapons.

The first incident happened after officers received a call about a man with a gun around 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the Blackhawk Courts Housing Development. Police say Zacarie Brown, 29, of Rockford, ran and tried to hide in a home in the 1500 block of Birch Court. Officers arrested him on several charges, including: Armed Violence, Residential Burglary, Obstructing Justice, Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons, Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon, Battery, Resisting Arrest, and No FOID.

Four hours later, officers arrested Harold McKay, 51, of Rockford, in the parking lot of a bar at 3500 Auburn Street. McKay was also armed with a gun that he tried to get rid of before officers could arrest him. He then struggled with officers as they arrested him for Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons, No FOID, and Resisting Arrest.

Five minutes after that incident, officers were told about another armed man leaving the same parking lot in a vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle at 800 Hoban Street and a passenger, LaMark Foote, 42, of Rockford, jumped out and ran. He was also arrested after a struggle with officers. Foote faces charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Resisting Arrest, and No FOID.
