TOULON, Ill. (AP) --

Illinois State Police have canceled an alert issued after an infant was abducted from the U.S. Post Office in Toulon.

Authorities say 3-week-old Mia Graci Thompson was found  late Thursday night along a road and is in good condition.

Authorities say mother of the infant, 19-year-old Kendra Elizabeth Meaker, has been arrested.

Meaker reported the infant had been abducted from her car Thursday morning while she was inside the Post Office.

Illinois State Police issued an Amber Alert after the mother later told police she didn't realize Mia was missing until she returned home.

The alert stated 3-week-old girl Mia Graci Thompson is white and was wearing a yellow onesie and blue jeans with pink flowers on the cuffs when she was reported taken from the back seat of her mother's vehicle.

State police were looking for a woman driving a gold or tan Buick or Pontiac.

Toulon is about 30 miles northwest of Peoria.
