Walk to raise money and awareness to prevent suicide - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

FREEPORT (WREX) - Losing a loved one to suicide is often kept private, so there is an effort to get the word out and raise awareness before it's too late for someone else.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has a walk in Freeport on Saturday, October 6th at the Krape Park Amphitheater. The walk starts at 10:00 a.m.
You can sign up in advance by calling (815) 297-0037 or online at www.OutoftheDarkness.org, or register in person right before the walk starts. Registration on that day goes from 8:45 until 10 a.m.
