The First Tee of Greater Rockford is now taking registrations for Fall Golf and Life Skill Lessons at Alpine Hills Practice Center. The lessons are open to all children between 7 and 18 years of age. Lessons will take place on Thursdays, September 27 and October 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 4:30-6:00 p.m.. All new participants will be exposed to the PLAYer level lessons, each one based on one of The First Tee Nine Core Values. The values include honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment. Former and current participants may register for their appropriate level: PLAYer, Par, or Birdie. Registration fee for the session is $90 and should be paid to the chapter office. The First Tee is a leader in youth development, teaching participants not only golf skills but life skills through a wide variety of programs. Participants who return to the program each year receive many application opportunities such as leadership and playing academies as they grow and develop.
