FREEPORT (WREX) - Sensata workers who face loosing their jobs to outsourcing will soon receive a busload of support.
Bain employees from all over the country will travel by bus and stop in swing states to discuss outsourcing and wages for American factory workers.
The tour kicks off tomorrow morning at the tent community Sensata workers have set up across the street from the closing factory. Workers will board the bus and travel to Janesville on Sunday morning.
"We're trying to raise the awareness that the kind of capitalism that they practice means outsourcing good manufacturing jobs from the United States, and the jobs they do create are minimum wage jobs with no benefits," said Tom Gaulrapp, a Sensata factory worker.
The bus tour is funded by civic and labor organizations and through donations.
