Two dead in Sycamore hospital shooting - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

2 people are dead after a shooting inside a Sycamore hospital.
Police got the call Tuesday evening for gunshots at Kindred Hospital, located on 225 Edward Street. When officers got there, they found a male patient and the woman who was visiting him both shot to death in a hospital room. Chief Thomas says the two people were in a relationship. A gun was also recovered from the scene. The hospital was not evacuated at the time and is currently secure. Investigators says they'll release more information on Wednesday.
Kindred is a long-term acute care hospital.
