A 25-year-old man was the last of five men to be sentenced in a case involving the kidnapping, beating, and sexual assault of another Rockford man.

Juan Gilbert was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault. Four other men, Aaron Clark, Justin Keenan, Sheldon Baxter, and Alex Crossen, have all previously been sentenced on Aggravated Kidnapping charges.

According to the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office, a male victim was driven to a gas station on November 10, 2010, where Juan Gilbert got into the car. The victim was then driven to the parking lot of St. Edwards Church, where Clark, Crossen, and Baxter approached the vehicle. The victim was pulled out of the car and into a nearby van.

The four men then drove the victim to a home on 7th Avenue, where they met Keenan. Inside the home, they held the victim against his will, punched and kicked him in the ribs, face, and legs, and sexually assaulted him. The victim was then driven to the back parking lot of LT's Bar and dropped off.

The victim was treated at a local hospital for a broken nose and other injuries.
