ROSCOE (WREX) -
A driver mistook the depths of the Rock River Friday and ended up getting stuck.
Harlem-Roscoe firefighters helped to pull a jeep out of the river at Riverside Park. The fire department believes the driver thought the river was shallow in that area and attempted to drive between sand bars.
A couple walking their dogs tried to help pull the vehicle out of the river with their own jeep, but their car had to be towed out as well.
