Rockford Police upping enforcement for Labor Day

Nine people died in Illinois over Labor Day weekend last year, three of whom died as a result of an impaired driver. This year, Rockford Police are stepping up enforcement in the hopes of achieving zero fatalities.

Over the Labor Day holiday weekend, Rockford Police will put special emphasis on impaired driving and seat belt enforcement, especially during late night hours.

Rockford Police are encouraging drivers to buckle up, drive safe, and drive sober.
