The pathologist who performed a second autopsy on Drew Peterson's third wife testified that he believes Kathleen Savio was murdered.
Larry Blum performed the autopsy on Kathleen Savio several years after she was found dead in her bathtub in 2004. Blum testified on Thursday during Peterson's murder trial that an accidental fall could not have caused the injuries Savio sustained. Blum said Savio had both a cut on the back of her head and fresh bruises on her front. He added that the tub did not contain any edges that could have created a straight-line wound to Savio's head.
Drew Peterson is currently on trial for Savio's murder. Her death had initially been ruled accidental, but Peterson was arrested and charged with her murder after the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, in 2007.
