Machesney Park man arrested for making meth

Several agencies teamed up to search a Machesney Park home on Wednesday where they found materials to make meth.

Members of the Winnebago County Sheriff's Police Metro Narcotic Unit, agents of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Illinois State Police executed a search warrant at 924 Glen Forest around 3:00 p.m. A small amount of marijuana and items used to make methamphetamine were found in the home.

Bradley Neal Jones, the resident of the home, was not home at the time, but was located and arrested later in the afternoon. Meth was found on his person. Jones faces the following charges:

  • Violation of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act
    • Unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials
    • Possession of methamphetamine/less than five grams
    • Participation in methamphetamine manufacturing
  • Violation of the Cannabis Control Act
    • Possession 2.5/10 grams of marijuana
