Summer's winding down, but the fun doesn't have to end quite yet. Labor Day weekend will be here before you know it and with that comes the annual On the Waterfront Festival.
This year The Offspring, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, and about 80 other musical acts will be featured at the festival, which is one of Illinois' largest. Over 30 food vendors will be scattered throughout the festival as well. Vendors like the East High School Booster Club and the Winnebago County Pork Producers will have their famous apple fritters and pork chops sandwiches, respectively. Carnival rides and other kid-oriented activities make the festival fun for the whole family. Funds raised from the festival will raise money for about 100 area non-profits.
Tickets are on sale now at locations around northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. An admission pass can provide either two or three admissions for $12 and $15 respectively. Wristbands will be available at the gate during the festival for $15 per day. Children eight and under are free.
For more ticket information and a list of places where you can buy tickets ahead of time, visit the On the Waterfront website.
