Cocaine and cannabis net Rockford man 10 years in jail


A 28-year-old man has been sentenced to ten years in jail after a search of his home resulted in the discovery of large quantities of cocaine and approximately 10,000 gross grams of cannabis.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department conducted a search at Rodrigo Gonzalez-Noveron's home in the 1400 block of Comanche Drive. Gonzalez-Noveron pled guilty to the charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver over 5000 grams of cannabis and Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (15 to 100 grams of cocaine) on July 16.

Both charges are Class X Felonies with sentencing ranges of six to 30 years in prison.
