Atwood Center looking for volunteers

The Rockford Park District's Atwood Center is looking for help to keep Seth B. Atwood Park clean and preserved.

Members of the public can join the Environmental Recreation and Education staff on certain Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and pitch in to help with maintenance. The park contains many diverse areas like prairie, woodland, river, and wetland areas that need preserving.

All ages are welcome, but kids under 16 must be accompanied by adults. Snacks will be provided and groups are welcome, just call 815-874-7576 in advance to advise staff of your attendance.

Upcoming dates are August 11 and September 8. More information on the program and upcoming dates can be found on the Park District's website.
