A man charged with a more than 10 year old Rockford murder, admits he did it.
Richard L. Brown pleaded guilty in Winnebago County Court Wednesday. He killed Debbie Logsdon back in May of 1998. She was found in the middle of Hudson Street, she'd been shot in the head. It took police more than 12 years to solve Logsdon's murder. Brown was arrested in 2011.
In addition to entering his plea, Brown was also sentenced to 44 years in prison.
Brown also pleaded guilty to an unrelated drug charge and was sentenced to 30 years for that. The sentences will run at the same time.
