Rockford realtors report strong mid-summer numbers - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

It is another strong month for Rockford's housing market.
The latest statistics released by Rockford Area Realtors shows the average home price at a 19 month high: $112,679. The number of homes sold in July also went up to 364. That's 14 percent higher than the numbers from this time last year. Historically, mid-summer sales drop down to about 8.3% in July. RAR CEO Steve Bois says the positive numbers are not just signs of a recovering economy, but also a growing manufacturing sector in the area.
