Rockford announces public hearings on Community & Economic Development Program

ROCKFORD (WREX) - City leaders announce two public hearings where people can learn more about the 2012 Community and Economic Development (CED) Program.

These hearings will focus both on the status of the program, and on budget changes that will lead to a significant change for the plan.

The public hearings are as follows:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 14 - Noon
    Patriot's Gateway Community Center
    615 S. Fifth St.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 14 - 6:00 p.m.
    Northwest Community Center
    1325 S. Johnston Avenue.

Both sessions will cover the same information, so you do not need to attend both.

The hearings can also make accommodations for people with disabilities.  If you plan to attend and need special assistance, you have until August 13 to get a letter to the Neighborhood Development Division, Community and Economic Development Department, 425 East State Street, Rockford, Illinois 61104.  You can also make that request by calling (815) 987-5690.
