Forest City Queen offers rides from "Dinner on the Dock"

The Rockford Park District partners up with a downtown staple to offers dinner and a cruise.

Every Thursday in August, you can head to Prairie Street Brewhouse for "Dinner on the Dock," then hop on board the Forest City Queen for a 25 minute ride. That will go on from 6 to 8 p.m., with cruises leaving the dock every 30 minutes.

The boat goes all the way to the Auburn Street bridge, then back. There will also be a narration on the history of Rockford.

Forest City Queen Operations Manager Amy McIntyre says, "It's just a great opportunity to take the family out."

Rides are $2 per person.
