PIzza delivery driver robbed in Rockford

A pizza and an unknown amount of cash was taken after two men, one armed with a handgun, approached a Rockford pizza delivery driver and demanded his property.

The incident occurred at 11th Avenue and 7th Street just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was headed back to his car when he was approached by the suspects. The armed suspect is described as a black male in his twenties with a dark complexion and a short fade haircut. He's approximately 5'9" tall and 200 pounds with a heavy build and was last seen wearing a blue shirt. The second suspect is described as a black male, 5'10" tall with a thin build.

Both suspects were last seen headed southbound on 7th Street on foot. They then went eastbound on 12th Avenue.

No shots were fire and no injuries were reported. Anyone with any information on this incident is encouraged to call Rockford Police at 815-987-5824.
