The Winnebago County Health Department hosted its 3rd Annual Back to School Health Clinic on Wednesday to help all kids get an opportunity to start the school year off right.
The "Grand Slam for Good Health" event featured $25 school and sports physicals for kids in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 6th grade, 9th grade, and students new to the area. It also offered immunizations for Pre-K through 12 grade students, including the newly required Tdap vaccine for incoming 6th and 9th graders. Free dental exams were given to children in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 6th grades.
The health clinic was an opportunity for students to get all of their required check-ups and vaccinations in one spot before the school term begins.
