Hot, sweet, and all you can eat! That's what people were saying today at the Aldersgate Church Annual Corn Boil.
Rain or shine, crowds line up each year to sink their teeth into the butter-dipped corn. And rain it did, but that did not stop people from enjoying themselves.
The Aldersgate United Methodist Church Corn Boil drew in about twelve-hundred hungry people today.
"It's something like 900 dozen ears of corn that we go through in one day." Said Kelley Beard, one of the event volunteers." And there's sweet corn, it's all local, it's from Gensler Gardens. It's pretty great."
All the money raised at the corn boil helps fund Aldersgate Church building renovations, missions, and charity groups.
