Ramp at IL 251 and Spring Creek Road closing next week

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Drivers attempting to go east on Spring Creek Road off of Illinois 251 might want to find a different route next week.

The ramp for southbound IL 251 traffic to go eastbound on Spring Creek will be closed beginning on Monday, July 30 to replace a drainage inlet on the ramp. The closure is expected to last until Friday, August 3.

The $10 million project to replace the two bridges at that interchange began in March of 2011 and is expected to be finished by mid-October of this year.
