Loves Park woman arrested for manufacturing meth

A search warrant carried out by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Police Narcotic Unit led to the arrest of a 44-year-old Loves Park woman for methamphetamine on Thursday.

Dianne R. Balcom of 5112 Pebble Lane faces multiple charges after police located ingredients for the manufacture of methamphetamine and the finished product during their search of her home. A chemical odor also led officers to believe methamphetamine was being produced at the home.

Balcom has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine
  • Methamphetamine related child endangerment
  • Unlawful possession of methamphetamine material
  • Participation of methamphetamine manufacturing

Three children live at the location with Balcom.
