Rockford School District leaders talk about how to keep things between students, teachers and parents equal.
The 1 year old Community Input Committee began their meeting Thursday by welcoming new members. They then talked about teacher demographics and took a look at how students of different races and ethnicities are doing in the classroom. Committee Co-chair Matthew Johnson-Doyle thinks holding these community discussions are crucial. He says, "It's important to make sure all of the voices in our very diverse community are heard, and that we take actions to make sure everyone has the best possible outcome."
The Committee will eventually make recommendations to the School Board.
