Autopsy complete on Roscoe man found in Rock River

The Winnebago County Coroner's Office has completed the autopsy of the 30-year-old man found in the Rock River on Sunday morning.

Richard Leach's body was discovered by a fisherman around 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of 100 River Street. There were no obvious signs of trauma to his body. According to the autopsy, Leach died as a result of drowning.

Toxicological results will be available in about two weeks.

Leach's death is still under investigation by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.
