Man robbed at gunpoint in Rockford parking lot

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Rockford Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 1100 North Avon Street on Monday.

A man was in a parking lot when another man approached him, demanded money, and fired a shot at the victim. The suspect then took money and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall black male, weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and jeans and was armed with a small semi-automatic pistol.
