Freeport workers featured on MSNBC's "The Ed Show"

Posted: Updated:

Freeport workers fighting to keep their jobs from being outsourced are now on the nation's radar.

Tuesday night, Sensata Technologies' employees, currently set to lose their jobs at the end of the year, were featured on MSNBC's "The Ed Show". Mayor George Gaulrapp and other Freeport officials are also calling on President Obama and Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney to come to their city for a debate.

Mayor Gaulrapp says, "we're a good cross section of the populace and voters here. It would make for a very interesting debate."

His office has sent out letters to both candidates' campaigns and also plan on filming a commercial pushing for the debate.
