Woodward, Inc. has teamed up with Caterpillar for a ten-year supply agreement.
The agreement will allow Caterpillar to receive energy controls technologies from Woodward like diesel fuel injection systems, natural gas engine control system components, valves, and actuators. Design collaboration opportunities will also be available.
"We have worked with Caterpillar for decades on various engine control technologies and we look forward to expanding our business with them in these new areas of opportunity," Woodward's President of Engine Systems Chad Preiss said. "This long-term supply agreement enhances our ability to introduce new technologies on both new and existing platforms to increase fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and enhance the reliability of industrial engines and equipment."
Woodward, Inc. is based out of Fort Collins, Colorado, but has two plants in Illinois, including one in Rockford. Caterpillar is based out of Peoria, Illinois.
