Dry conditions provided fuel for a fire at a Loves Park home.
Crews were called to 402 Coronado Boulevard around 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Once there, firefighters discovered a fire in the backyard that had spread to the back part of the home.
Investigators believe a tree branch fell on some power lines, which sparked the blaze.
"Because the grass is so dry, that it caught the back porch, went up the back porch, and we were pretty lucky that we caught it where we did," Loves Park Fire Department Chief Phil Foley said.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
