Rockford man arrested for robbing pizza delivery driver


A 21-year-old Rockford man is facing charges of armed robbery after robbing a pizza delivery driver on July 7.

The incident occurred just around 10:00 p.m. in the 3800 block of 15th Avenue. A pizza delivery driver was approached by a suspect armed with a handgun who demanded money. After being handed an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect then fled on foot.

The Rockford Police Department teamed up with Winnebago County Sheriff's Police and the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office to charge Larry D. Sturdivant with armed robbery on July 11.

Rockford Police are not releasing a photo of Sturdivant due to the ongoing investigation.
