Swim-N-More offering free swim lesson to local kids

A local pool will offer a free swim and safety lesson for Rockford-area children this Wednesday.

Swim-N-More, located in the Millennium Center in Downtown Rockford, will host the lesson for kids ages six through twelve. The class, sponsored by Operation All Swim, will feature lessons on kicking, floating, submerging, and glides.

Operation All Swim is a non-profit foundation that hopes to increase awareness about the importance of learning to swim. The foundation focuses on teaching children both how to swim and how to stay safe in the water.

The free swim lesson will take place from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at the Millennium Center (220 South Madison Street, Rockford). Pre-registration is required.
