One person hurt after Jefferson Street crash

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

One person is hurt after a car crash on Rockford's near east side.

The crash occurred at the corner of Jefferson and 3rd Streets. One driver was headed west on Jefferson when witnesses say they ran a red light and hit a vehicle going north on 3rd. That driver was seriously hurt, but police say their injuries are non-life threatening.
