Mother of hill jumping victim files lawsuit

Eau Claire County (WQOW) - A lawsuit has been filed stemming from a fatal Eau Claire County hill jumping case.

This week, the mother of McKenna Johnson filled a wrongful death lawsuit against Felicia Bertrang, her parents and their car insurance company.  Johnson was one of three teens killed when a car driven by Austin Gable lost control and rolled.  Gable wasn't old enough to drive the car, which belonged to Bertrang.

Last week, an Eau Claire County judge sentenced Bertrang to nine months home dentition and suspended her driver's license for a year.
