Greg joined the 13 Weather Authority team at WREX in June of 2012.
He comes to Rockford from his first job in the television industry at WYIN in Merrillville, Indiana. Greg is a graduate of Indiana University and spent time at two weather internships, one in Chicago at ABC 7 and another at WRTV, the ABC affiliate in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Greg is originally from Dyer, Indiana.
Greg didn't always know weather was the job for him. "I grew up wanting to be an astronaut because I was fascinated by the unknown. As I got older my interests turned toward the weather for the same reason, the thrill of the unknown and ever changing."
In Greg's personal life he's a movie buff as well as a television junkie. He's also good on the drums and has been in various bands during his high school and college careers.
Little Known Facts about Greg
- I am a die hard White Sox fan. The ballpark is my sanctuary
- I marched in my high school's drumline and after I graduated I stuck around and taught the next 5 summers
- I'm a huge animal lover. Nothing beats a long walk with man's best friend after a long day
- I'm lactose intolerant so I have yet to indulge in the ice cream, though I hear it's pretty good stuff
- I am way too into fantasy sports and will join as many leagues as possible regardless of the sport
