The Associated Bank on North Main Street was robbed Tuesday morning by a lone suspect.
The suspect entered the bank around 10:57am Tuesday and passed a note to the teller demanding money. She then fled on foot.
A Rockford Police Officer noticed a woman matching the suspect's description walking in the 600 block of North Main Street and arrested her. The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Latoya S. Burrows of Rockford. She was charged with bank robbery and is in federal custody.
A joint investigation into the matter between Special Agents with the FBI and the Rockford Police Department revealed that Burrows was with a male before and after the robbery. Police are currently looking for a black male described as approximately 30-years-old, 5'8", 190 pounds. He was wearing a white tee shirt and blue jeans and has a stocky build with a small mustache and short hair.
