Boeing seems to like Rockford. The company brought another jet to RFD.
The 787 Dreamliner came back Tuesday night, around 9:40. It didn't stay long. The jet was back in the air before 10:15. This is part of test flight's Boeing's doing for the jet. Boeing was originally scheduled to bring the passenger version of its new 747-8 plane. The company had to make a last minute change.
The Dreamliner's been here before - about a month ago. Boeing brought it to RFD so employees at companies like Hamilton Sundstrand could see what their decade or more of work produced.
This also isn't the first time Boeing's brought a rare test aircraft to Rockford. Last summer, the 747-8, a new cargo version of the company's iconic 747 airliner made a similar stop.
