Local schools receive grant money from Lowe's

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Two Rockford schools were awarded grants from Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation.

Beyer Elementary received $4,930 for updates to the school entrance and Kishwaukee Elementary received $4,400 to refurbish blacktop for recess and gym class from Lowe's Toolbox for Education Grants.

The grants were awarded during the Fall 2011 grants cycle.
