ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Police arrested a Rockford man Friday for a residential burglary that took place in January.

On January 30, police responded to a residential burglary call in the 600 block of Chisholm Trail. The suspect had forcibly entered the home through a door and took money and electronics. After receiving a description of the suspect, police searched the area, but were unable to locate him.

Police stopped a man matching the description of the suspect in the Chisholm Trail burglary on Friday. Tandre L. Pirtle, 19, of Rockford, gave police a false name and was later found to be wanted on an unrelated failure to appear warrant.

Pirtle has been charged with Residential Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property as a result of the Chisholm Trail burglary. He was also charged with Obstructing Identity and Failure to Appear.

Burglaries that occurred in the 300 block of Concord Avenue and the 300 block of Lexington Avenue were also cleared with Pirtle's arrest.
